Fall 2009

Fall is the time of year to visit as our summer heat subsides and cool autumn breezes marks the change of another season. There is no better place to spend your time then right here in Pasadena. Just 11 miles north of Los Angeles and at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains lies Pasadena - a destination with the perfect combination of sophisticated charm, culture, history and fun. Foodies, shoppers, art lovers and vacation seekers will enjoy this beautiful Southern California town that is home to the Rose Bowl and close to all that southern California has to offer.

Fall marks the kick off for the UCLA Bruins to play their home games right here in Pasadena and the world famous Rose Bowl of Pasadena. As if that were not enough going on at The Rose Bowl, October 25th will mark the only Southern California appearance by the legendary Irish band....U2.
Explore Pasadena's remarkable works of art in the Norton Simon Museum of Art and the Huntington Library, Art Collections and the Botanical Gardens. And don't miss the Pacific Asia Museum dedicated exclusively to the arts and culture of Asia and the Pacific Islands. Take in a performance at the Pasadena Playhouse, the official State Theatre of California, where famous names have graced the playbill. And be sure to visit during Pasadena ART Night- October 9, and ART Walk-October 10, 2009, filled with a colorful palette of events. In addition, Pasadena Museum of California Arts is hosting an exhibition focuses on the life of Edith Heath and her defining influence on California design through pottery. Popular at dinner tables across the country and featured in many of the early American industrial design exhibitions, Heath Ceramics helped define mid-century modernism.
